I might be coming from another world, one of un-censored, un-filtered
discussion (unmoderated lists) but why the hell does it take >24 hours to
see my stuff posted, much less a response? Let assholes be assholes, and
let them get banned if they repeatedly step over some gray line, but
slowing down and/or editing communications makes seems to negate the whole
purpose of the list!
again, I'm coming from a relatively sheltered environment -- only
ocassionaly does somebody need to be banned from a "Structural Equations
Modelling" or "Sampling Methodology Secton of the American Statistical
Association," but at least those forums give immediate communication.
I could be wrong -- maybe it's a matter of infrastructure, in that the
moderator might not have a 24/7 connection, but that seems implausible --
why don't we have fairly instant communication?
