mentioned the design for this previously on the list, and
found the materials today and made the necklace tonight:

it is: amber - felt - magnetite (lodestone) - felt - amber - etc.
with copper clasp and silver wire. in essence, there are the
lodestones (magnetism, actual magnets) and felt (common
as wool for early EM experiments) and amber (electrostatics)
which then are tied together with silver wire and are worn as
a necklace, i.e., electromagnetism in the form of a necklace.

all do-it-yourself, this is a concept piece mentioned earlier,
the amber is very cheap beads (versus high-quality) and
the magnetite is all that could be found yet comes in variety
of shapes/sizes, as does the amber. felt is to prevent the two
materials, one almost metallic, the other almost glass, from
interacting except through the wire. the movement of beads,
it is wondered, may or may not have an effect on the wire in
some way, as the felt-amber and the magnet move about.
