The Economics Department at the University of Massachusetts- Amherst is
inviting applications at the assistant or associate professor level for a
position starting in Fall 2005, subject to budgetary authorization.
Applicants at the assistant professor level should have the Ph.D. degree
completed by September 1, 2005. We are particularly interested in the fields
of political economy, Latin American development, industrial organization,
family/household/gender and experimental economics. Rank and salary will be
commensurate with qualifications and experience. Applicants should submit a
curriculum vita, three letters of reference, a copy of a recent research
paper and, if possible, evidence of teaching effectiveness. For full
consideration, applications must be received by December 6, 2004. Candidates
will be interviewed by invitation at the American Economic Association
