My experiences with moderated and unmoderated lists is that there are
usually the same number of posters to lurkers, same content, same everything
except fewer off-topic posts. It all comes down to the discretion of the
moderators and it's really too soon to tell on this list exactly how the
proposed moderators define "discretion." So, I'm willing to see how it goes.
If it doesn't seem like it's adding to the quality of hacktivism, we are
always free to leave and/or create lists of our own. I moderate a few lists
and so I know what a time-consuming job it can be - I wish the best for our
moderators here.
