EU vs US and the WTO

Anyone hear about the little scuffle going on between the EU and the US 
Congress?  Apparently, Uncle Sam wants to give itself some very hefty 
offshore taxbreaks (in the billions each year) on goods exported to Europe.  
So the EU got pissed and reported it to the WTO.  Apparently, the WTO is 
expected to rule in the next 30 days, and it looks like they'll side against 
the US.  Leaving the EU to cause a nice, nasty stink just before the 
elections.

Any other info out there on this?? When it boils down, who's got the goods?  
Would the US Congress back down to the WTO?  Would the WTO challenge the US 
Congress?  Bets?  Statistics?  Facts?  Jokes?  Can this be humorous 
exploited by HBPPM?

& does anyone have any articles on/by Canesco, apart from the 3 that ran in 
Spy about 8 years ago.
