Without all the medieval propaganda that is what I proposed last week when
I founded the Hacktivist Bureau of Public Perception Management. (In
regards to your "intelligentsia" idea). If all goes to plan we will be the
ones changing the perceptions of the populace directly, as opposed to
indirectly as every underground member does. Why do we feel the need to
provide comfortable, pre-established metaphors to describe "cyberspace"? It
is like nothing else in history (at least not *our* history -cue Twilight
Zone music-). It's a whole new world baby. Here we make the metaphors. The
web is, granted, the most anarchic force in history. It is the Temporary
Autonomous Zone made Permanent. We must fight to keep it that way. The
Internet is the stupidest thing the Government(s) could ever have done.
People are now able to coordinate large scale insurgences, quickly and
effectively. We have the power. Let's use it.
