There IS such a thing, actually.....about as
close as it can get, methinks....
It is called Ainfos@lists.tao.ca  .....a
wonderous World Wide list that everybody can use
anywhere, anytime with issues of concern to us
all....
>From the links there, we can contact eachother
when we need to.
I think it is about as close as it
gets...Anything more is not ready yet...Not
really doable at this time.
Another possibility is FREENET.
