You bring back old memories, Joseph. I, too, strongly protested the war
particularly from within. In fact, I was essentially designated to
counsel the antiwar personnel inside the military who were approaching a
point of bringing action down on themselves. My role: show them how,
and convince them to, protest and act out their beliefs in ways that
wouldn't put them into jail. It, too, didn't hurt my career at all.
