In case people on the listserv haven't seen this article online. I
happen to notice that a handful well-established scholars are
repeatedly cited in this article while there is no mention of others
such as Gao Mobo, Han Dongping, Lao Tian, etc. who have published
powerful articles and books on rural China and politics of the Great
Leap Forward and the Cultural Revolution.
