Post Specification 

Research Fellow or Research Associate (Ref. 91897)
[Appointment period: twenty-four months]

Duties

The appointee will assist the Director of the Centre for China Research Network in supporting research projects being undertaken by the Centre. He/she will be responsible for:

(a)	conducting and coordinating the China research projects;
(b)	assisting the Director in overseeing the Department’s development of China research;
(c)	assisting in organising research seminars, conferences and issuing publications; and
(d)	developing and consolidating the Department’s research network in the Chinese mainland.

Qualifications

For the Research Fellow post, applicants should have a relevant doctoral degree plus three years of postdoctoral research experience.

For the Research Associate post, applicants should have a relevant master’s degree.

Applicants should also have :
(a)	extensive relevant research experience especially on conducting multi-disciplinary research on Chinese issues;
(b)	an established record of scholarly publications of originality and merit;
(c)	good command of written and spoken English and Chinese, preferably including Putonghua; and
(d)	good communication and interpersonal skills.

Frequent travel to PRC is required.

Remuneration
