On 11/17/99, megan logged on and ended up relaying this through a
little-known Microsoft open mail server to the North Korean Central
Committee who in turn forwarded it to me:

Good point. I take news from the net and try and cross it over into the
world beyond. My letters to my congresscritters, I know I'm not changing a
thing..., go via snail mail. I want some aide to physically open and read
my opinions on key escrow and echelon...
I have a couple of stickers on the car. People, as seen in my rear view
mirror, do read those things. *When Crypto Is Outlawed, Only Outlaws Will
have Crypto* gets a few heads scratchin'... Not enough tho...
And I talk it up when I get a chance. You open minds one at a time.
Trouble is, most people are just happy getting that paycheck, knowing the
burger joint and the movie theatre are cheap... The disentegration of the
Bill of Rights, the Clinton EOs, Echelon, CALEA, none of this stuff
bothers them. They are pacified with their toys, cell phones and sports
cars...
