                      Air Force Contract

                      Company Teams to Provide Information Warfare
Services



                      SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS, November 24, 1998—Veridian
announced
                      its membership on a team recently awarded a
five-year task order
                      contract by the U.S. Air Force worth more than
$353 million.

                      Veridian is a key member of the team led by Ball
Aerospace and
                      Technology Group, Boulder, Colo. Veridian will
provide information
                      warfare related engineering technical services to
the Air Force
                      Information Warfare Center, Kelly AFB, Texas. Most
of the
                      contract involves classified work.

                      Formed in 1997 through the merger of Calspan SRL
Corporation and
                      Veda International, Veridian develops and applies
information
                      technologies to solve critical problems in
aerospace, defense,
                      transportation and life sciences. Veridian employs
more than 2,800
                      computer scientists and software development
engineers, systems
                      analysts, scientists, engineers, test pilots and
other professionals
                      offering customer solutions at more than 35
locations in the U.S.
                      and overseas. A privately held company with
corporate offices in
                      Washington, D.C., Veridian's 1998 annual sales are
expected to
                      exceed $320 million.
