Hi All:

It sort of ruins it for the FBI once the general public knows about
Carnivore's existence. Why do I think that way? Two reasons:

1:) Once criminals (or whoever) knows about Carnivore, they'll probably be
obscure in e-mails or rely on a safer, albeit slower form of communication.

2:) They can still send e-mails that look like safe messages. How? Example:

Dear Fred:

I think these are the winning lotto numbers (*or friend's birthday, or
whatever)

11 - 9 - 12 - 12 8 - 9 - 14

Love,
your brother Noel.

See the sequence of numbers I put up there? If matched alphanumeric, then it
spells out: KILL HIM.

Has anyone heard of solid data encryption? Some kid in high school won the
Intel Science award by hiding the message : 'June 6, Invasion Norway' inside
a tiny blob of matter. It opened up an entirely new field. It was on CNN.

These are just musings I had on my mind. What do you think?

I've been very busy for the past few days. I was hired to do a company
website from scratch. It's cool to have a salary at my age. You can check
it out at ( www.videoworkshop.com )

Thanks for listening!

Andrea
