Hello everybody,

I've joined this list a couple of weeks ago, and will take the opportunity
to -briefly- introduce myself : I'm 30, currently living in France, and I
run in Paris a (small, for now :-) ) web agency ; I look forward to have
myself and my company working toward a free world, cleanly globalized (At
that time, I work with people in Philippines, fair trade)...

The most probable about echelon is that all NATO countries, plus all
European Community (not exhaustive : not talking about Australia/NZ)
collaborate in some way to the "project", even though on different
basis...Of course, this is only assumption, as there is no such thing as a
reliable source, regarding echelon...

I can be more positive about PGP : it is -indeed- breakable (but no "master
key", PGP works with the combination of a public key (you give this to
everybody), and a private key (it's your own, you generated it), the
combination of the 2 allows for deencryption), but it takes a huge amount of
resources : to crack your email encrypted with a 4,096 bits key, they'd need
to use ALL their computing power for several days...Which they -of course-
cannot afford, given the number of messages to be processed...So, that's why
it's considered as safe : echelon will only process "clear" messages.

May the force be with you all ! :-)
Cyril
