A CALL TO ACTION
TO PRESERVE FREEDOM, PRIVACY AND ACCESS!

RECLAIM THE NET is an open call for
works in all media, including internet,
print, radio, video, from all media
activists interested in preserving
freedom on the net through direct
action, in opposition to the
"Gentrification" of the net by
multinational corporations.

The domain "RECLAIMTHE.NET" has been set
up on behalf of the SHADOW, who
spearheads this campaign and encourages
all to join in to create a mass freedom
movement to free the media from
corporate domination.

Web-based projects that wish to come
under the ReclaimThe.Net domain are
invited to sign up for a sub-domain
directed to their web page (as in
SHADOW.MUST.RECLAIMTHE.NET or
ACTION.TO.RECLAIMTHE.NET).

Those who have their own virtual web
hosting account may delegate their
subdomain to their sites, or it can be
forwarded to any site on request.

Our ISP sponsor Name.Space has
volunteered to provide virtual domain
web accounts for qualifying
participants. Please submit your
proposals to rtn@namespace.org and you
will be contacted to arrange details and
technical coordination.

With the ICANN arrogating control over
Internet Governance and the Mega-Mergers
with the likes of AOL and Time Warner
looming, the time to act is NOW while
there is still a chance to preserve what
is left of freedom and democracy on the
net.

The strong spirit of the masses caused
the WTO to retreat from Seattle--Reclaim
The Net is the "Seattle Effect" on the
Internet! Be a part of it!

Watch for more in the upcoming issue of
the SHADOW! http://shadowpress.org to be
released soon!

Check out the SHADOW Information Network
at http://shadow.autono.net for late-breaking
news and events!

And don't forget to support our
hipper-than-hip sponsor, Name.Space!

Peace!

The SHADOW
