I would also assume that one would have to fully enlist in
the military, i.e basic training, clearance, citizenship
requirement,  and actually be good soldier material to 
participate.  They may have interesting projects to work on,
but I would imagine that you would have to be a career 
soldier to be involved. That's a serious commitment. 
AFAIK, the military doesn't take well to job hopping.
They call it insubordination or awol or something don't
they?  

Sounds like it's just going to be another group of 
moustache men to me.
