In regard to Susan's post, may I suggest a relatively new book;
'Powerline', by Barry Casper & the late Senator Paul Wellstone.
It's a tale of how big energy interests overode the wishes of rural
Minnesotans in the '70's.
I remember it vividly; farmers protesting emminent domain practices
and local County Sheriffs stuck right in the middle of the foray.
I had friends protesting and other friends working night security to
keep local farmers from hacksawing down the towers.
It was also the first Minnesotans in general were exposed to the passion
and fire Senator Wellstone exhibited on social issues.
