 [quite fascinating technique/technology, which uses
a laser to take an elevation (wysiwyg) view, that is,
as a person on the ground looking at a line of power-
poles, and wires, going along the horizon/landscape.
thanks to * for the forward. the acronym ALTM stands
for Airborne Laser Terrain Mappers. ~e.org]
